Hi geeks!
But if stress here! I applied for a trademark knowing I’d have to pay the fee (£200+ from memory). Was never any mention of any further costs involved. I read if it’s opposed then I’d have the opportunity to withdraw and do I went ahead.
I have received a letter today in the post from the World Organizatjon for Trademarks (WOTRA)showing a filing fee of £986.00. All my correspondence til now has been through the Gov. application via email. My heart is in my mouth. I can’t afford this.
However, I seem to remember a warning from the Gov. people that I may be approached by private firms asking for fees and on reading the small print paragraph at the bottom of their ‘invoice’ it seems this is all it is. I’d just like someone to reassure me before I contact the Gov people. It happens to have arrived on the same day as a second parking fine!!!
