Sorry if there is a thread on this but have searched and can't find one.
Just wondered if any of you have any tips?
The pain in My thumb joint is so bad it takes my breath away.
Is it worth seeing a doctor? Have heard there isn't anything they can do just persuade to give up the thing that's causing the strain? :-( am so upset as only do nails part time, the pain would be worse I'm sure If full.
Any advice would be gratefully received Thank you X

Have you experimented with ice packs and heat pads to find out which eases the pain?
I have RSI in my wrists, and middle fingers, and find that it's a way of my body telling me I'm overdoing it. It's particularly bad around Christmas.
You will need to rest it a bit.

I literally feel your pain :-(

Yes go to your doctor .. Cortisone injections should help. It's not desirable but it is often effective.
