How do they make any money?

Hi all
There's a company or more likely a franchise advertising services on fb.
Mobile service tans 5 for £40 which equates to £8 each. They also offer other services nails,massage,hair etc.
Is anyone a member of one of these types of business just wondered if it does work x

They're obviously using cheap brands, but mainly id expect they were new companies, or newly qualified therapists, trying to build up a customer database xxxx
