Hi Guys

Happy New Year. I have been busy preparing for my exams and graduation.

Does anyone know how to make butterflies using acrylic. I was thinking of using a nail form to do so. But I am not sure if I am on the right track.

Thanks a bunch for any assistance.

The only way I can think would be to do it the similar way you would do a rose..
you know, blob of l+p on foil or cling film, as it starts to go off pat it into a petal shape but maybe a bit bigger and then do another 3. set it to a 'butterfly body' on the nail as wings and maybe that would work.

there are tutorials on the 3d rose from a few talented geeks if you do a search.

with all o fthe 3-d i've done, the best way to do something like a butterfly is to do it on a nail form.
you can shape the wings by the way you bend and hold the form.
when you take it off of the form, you can file the edges.
this is usually the way i do it!
just try it, you 'll get the hang of it!
