Hi all beauty professionals. I am looking for some advice and wondered if any of you could help? I have recently set up a PR and marketing company that specialises in promoting beauty salons. In the current economic climate, I realise that a lot of businesses are cutting back on budgets. Do you think that beauty salons would consider using a company to put together their marketing materials at this time? I am not a big agency, it's just me, so my overheads are low. I have worked in the industry for a few years and know from experience that a lot of salons need help marketing their business, but I also know that when times are tough, marketing is the first budget to be cut - ironic really, as good marketing is important to grow business and profits.

I am only just getting started, and am slightly perturbed by how slow the market seems to be at the moment. Please let me know your opinions and if you think it's worth me continuing to try and get this business off the ground.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Andrea :)

Good luck Andrea in your new venture

Think you might be right though...I guess when things are in a recession phase one of the first things to go is PR costs:eek:

That said if you can get your business up and running at this time then you are going to be one heck of a succesfull individual
