Just thought I would share my discovery. I find that using a craft knife rather than scissors gives a much better taylored fit to the nail when having to size Minx.

Ie, I apply Minx, all over the nail as instructed, however, sometimes clients nail shape at the cuticle is slanted or rounded and not a dead fit for Minx. So I let it go over the skin and press down onto the nail and side walls, so you can see the outline.

Then very, very gently with a craft knife, I score the minx around the nail. This then allows you peel the minx back from the skin leaving a perfect fit.

I finish with the crystal file at the free edge tho.

It is brilliant if you have to use a larger minx because the size is in between. Or if you have to turn the Minx horizontally to get the best fit, as I found scissors so fiddly.

Hope this is explained ok, not very good at putting into words. Kate x

did i read right ? do you do it while its on the nail ?? no offence but thats scary

Yes you did read right. Its absolutely fine, if you are careful and gentle. it doesn't score the the natural nail and I haven't cut anyone yet and I've done loads.

The knife I use is an angled blade though not the really pointed one.

I use cuticle nippers to tailor them when they are on the toes, makes life easier for me. Cx
