Minx lamps

hey all

i wanted to buy a minx kit so i can get practising and hopefully set up in business! (everything crossed)

are the minx lamps the best ones? ive seen other lamps on amazon which dont look too bad and ive seen on here people saying that the minx lamps can be a bit fiddly if mobile.

are these lamps ok or am i best off going with the minx lamp?

Well I got my lamp before the Minx lamp existed, so I ordered one off Ebay and it's a 250w Infra Red lamp and does the job perfectly. The Minx lamp is lovely and if I was salon based I would very probably get it, but I'm mobile and although my lamp looks a little 'industrial' it's portable and does the job......

At the end of the day you need a heat source, find the best one for your circumstances and use it!

hiya, i originally brought the minx lamp and was advised that i could get one much cheaper off the interenet. as long as the product is heated up, they all do the same job as the minx lamp is the same one that is used for muscular pain. the minx lamp is really big and quite fiddly as its quite springy when folding it together ( i thought that id end up dropping mine so took it back) u can get them for 10-20pound off the net or even go into a reptile pet shop & just buy an infrared bulb - i did do this originally but found it hard finding a suitable lamp that i could manouver ( u know to direct it at the nail incase the minx needed reheating)

just looked on the minx website & the minx lamp on there is a nice black one, in my kit, i got told it was going to be one of the big ugly lamps like we had in college for massage - look like a spaceship! i didnt even bother opening my kit after being told thats what lamp was included!

Hi we just use an infra red lamp at work for doing the minx nails. As long as they are getting set with the heat you will be fine x
