Can anybody recommend a hairstylist in Manchester who can do a modern, Kate Middleton style perm? I think its called a digital perm? Thanks

Kate Middleton hasnt got a perm..........

Kate midddleton does a blow dry with soft curls at the end. Can be recreated with curling irons! xoxo

Kate infact has a digital perm, it's allong the lines of the old electric perm.
The difference between a "traditional" perm and and a digital perm is a digital perm when wet looks like the persons natural hair would, can be blow dried and flatironed pin straight, but a quick tussle and the curls appear, compared to a traditional perm which is always curly.

I don't know anywhere with digital perming yet ( would be good to let us know of you find somewhere) but if you can't find anywhere, or it's too expensive, try a normal perm on large setting rollers to get the same effect xoxo

from the information i've just read on 'tinternet' its a theory that Kate has had a 'digital perm' - all very - 'is this the way she does it?' no-one will tell - not her or her stylist, probably a theory banded around by the company that sells digital perming equipment?.
Most articles are telling 'us' that its the secret to hair like hers - ummmm..... i'm thinking digi perm or not it still takes a good blowdry and some tongs!
I had a 'hot perm' back in my training days - perm was wound then heated clamps put over each rod - great result but curly as curly!:D

Thanks Geeks.
There's a place in London called Eleven that does it but I'm in Manchester.
A standard perm on large rollers! Interesting, never thought of that!!! I've only ever seen those little tight set curls using little rods.
Anyone qualified in Manchester, specialise in perms? Xx

I saw this being done at salon international looked fab! But sorry in answer to your question I have not seen any salons offering this :(

If you are anywhere near a Toni & Guy, we do Demi-Texture. which is basically what you've described and only lasts 8 weeks!

how much is this?? ive wanted a loose perm for so long but worried it wont suit me and already have to wash/straighten my hair every day to get it straight and its only very slightly wavy now:Scared:
