Moving Crisis

Have to have a moan. Sorry.

We've had arranged with my husbands best friend and his girlfriend for a month that they would help us when we move house on Friday evening and Saturday. They are returning the favour as we have recently helped them.

However the chap is a bit unreliable and my husband said to me yesterday at about 20:00 'I have a horrible feeling we're going to get let down'. Low and behold 20:10 the phone rings 'Sorry mate wont be able to help you on Saturday cos i've got to work, my boss is a w*nker etc etc' so my husband re-arranges all the removals so that we move all the big stuff on Fri evening and then we (hubby and I) can move the smaller stuff on Saturday (cos i'm a weak girlie).

THEN 22:30 another phone call 'Mate you wont believe it i've just dislocated my little finger(!) and wont be able to help you at all'. He could be telling the truth but who knows.

I've calmed down a bit now but was quite worked up last night. People letting you down at the last minute is one of my pet hates!

Anyway rant over now...thanks for listening.

P.S. Anyone wanna help me move house this weekend LOL

that is really irritating, i know how you feel, it's not nice being let down especially when it's something as big as moving house which is hard enough already!! and even more so when he should be returning the favour to you as you've helped them in the past!!

arragghhh - can you tell that this is also one of my pet hates as well as peolpe who turn up late!!

Oooooohhhh yeah another one of my pet hates. I always do my absolute best to be on time but I am the only one in my family who does this so when we meet at places i'm always sat on my own waiting for them for ages!
