There are loads of topics about motivating staff through various commission structures and bonus ideas.......I thought it would be a good idea to have everything in one place.

So what motivates you, what motivates your staff, what keeps them driven and what rewards do find most effective?

I would like to implement a commission scheme to my employees but want something fun and effective!

I offered my daughter - who is also my only member of staff - a pay rise or commission. We had a chat and she opted for commission. 10% on products and 5% on treatments. She has sold to nearly every client she has had. It has become a personal challenge, but she sticks to the salon rules that you never sell something that's not required.

The past 2 Wednesdays which is normally a quiet ish day, we have had monster takings and is nearly all retail!

It's costing me a bloody fortune lol!
