Hi all! Just off I'd like to say that I'm awful at nail art and am getting better thanks to all the tutorials on here. I can do what I consider basic nail art (one colour shell/glitter tips, encapsulation flowers etc) but I've seen some lovely glitter designs on the gallery, specifically glitter swirls and three coloured tips, and was just wondering if anyone could give me any pointers on how to do them? When I try the glitter runs together to make a big mess !

glitter is difficult to work with but you will get better with practice, have to tried painting the glitter on with a brush this sometimes makes it easier x

Well if it was easy I guess everyone would be doing it! Thanks for the advice hun, I'll give it a go.

hi chick have you tried doing one colour on each finger and then going back to the begining to do the second colour as the frst will have dried and wouldnt run then so on for other colours. also could try to give glitter colour blending a go as this is like organised chaos and loks great putone colour glitter on the end then a contrasting colour above and brus the first colour into the second has tp be done quite quickly as glitter needs to be quite wet hope this helps good luck cant wait to see ya pic...:)

With glitter and glitter mixer i managed to do color faded swerls (SP)
i just diped my tiny brush into the glitter mixer then roled it into the first color glitter to make a smail ball then made half my desighn useing alot less glitter at the half way point then did the same the other side with the other color , make sure you use colors that you can see the diffrence between ,
also not exactly the same but scince discuvering colored and glittered powders i havent really gone back to the glitter on its own , the affects are amazing , hope this helped alittle?
Cx

hi, i saw a tutorial where the tip was painted with glue and then it was dipped into neat glitter. Clear acrylic was then applied over the topand finished and buffed as normal . It looked great but dont know if it would be easy to do or not. Give it a go

Thanks for all the replies , I'll certainly put them all into practice and I've been watching like a hawk at olympia today so I should be good to go with some pics on here soon...
