With the organic, natural and eco-friendly market booming, it's no surprise that companies committed to a natural ethos are doing well. Most recently, Safe 'N Beautiful, the brand that offers non-toxic, eco-friendly cosmetics has won a Greek Export Award for Snails, its range of wash-off nail polishes for children.
The Greek Exports Conference in Athens came to a close with a sparkly gala dinner that honoured companies that have achieved outstanding success in breaking into international markets, boosting productivity, competitiveness and employment.
Safe 'N Beauty, who won the New Export Business category, was founded by British entrepreneur in 2011 and since its inception it has worked hard to corner the market for children's cosmetics. In 2014 alone, its washable and safe nail collections have achieved a record 496% growth in sales. Not bad, eh?
The award celebrates the success of its eco-friendly Snails signature line of polishes and the newly launched SNB Wash Off luxury range for women, now available in over 965 retail, duty free and online outlets across 38 countries.
"Receiving this award and recognition from the Greek government and business community is a huge honour for us, said Jeanette Sklivanou, founder and CEO, Safe 'N Beautiful "We are immensely proud to have achieved such a large international presence in such a short period of time which speaks to the huge appeal our products have for women and children around the world. We aim to continue innovating and developing products that have health, beauty and fashion at their core."
And it's not only the company that's collecting accolades. Jeanette Sklivanou herself was recently named as one of the 40 under 40 most successful business people in Greece. If you think that she's going to sit back on her laurels, you would be wrong. The brand is expanding at an exponential rate with new lines to be delivered soon including a spa line of nail care treatment products for use by professionals only.
With Snails winning this award, it turns out that slowly slowly does catch the (award) monkey.
