I have a client who comes for regular manicures, she has horizontal lines, indentations across her thumbs. Why do you think this is? xx:eek:

I was taught it's because of damage to the matrix at some point, even years ago Unless it's inborn.
There's nothing much you can do about that.
When a client like that comes to me I don't even try to get the surface of the nail smooth and even (not too much buffing on the natural nail!); I use ridge filling base coat and sell her regular manicures plus the ridge filler for home use:)

Thats what i put it down to, damage to the matrix at some point, as thats where the cells are generated for the nail. Her thumbs are quite dry wondered if this might have something to do with it? xx
