OPI Powder Perfection

Im working with a client trying to perfect the OPI powder perfection. I applied it to her nail for the second time yesterday. The first time, we had no trouble with it, everything went smoothly. This time we had two hiccups. 1) The top coat brush became hard after the last activator application. I let the Activator dry 90-120 seconds if not longer. Because I know that the top coat cannot come in contact with the top coat. But it still hardened. 2) after the top coat dried for 2+ mins, the top coat became a matte streak on 5 of the 10 nails. The others dried right. But those other ones did not.

Any suggestions on next time? Thankfully she’s a patient client and is willing to do the trial and error time period with me. But I love the process and have others asking about it. But I’m not comfortable recommending it to anyone else without knowing how to fix these problems first.
