“NEW FOR MANCHESTER 2009! “
“Student Competition Technician of the Year 2009”
FREE ENTRY! A brand new challenge will be introduced in Manchester by Professional Beauty to encourage training companies, product suppliers and colleges to support newly trained nail technicians entering a nail competition for the first time. Competitors who are placed in the Manicure, Pedicure, Novice Tip & Overlay, Showcase and Photographic categories can accumulate points. To qualify, all competitors must enter the Manicure and the Tip and Overlay Novice categories and should also enter the other 3 categories above to gain maximum possible points. Rachel Myatt, Competition director says “Manchester is always our most popular competition for recently trained techs and so always attracts the colleges. All entrants have been doing nails, of any type or system, for under 2 years and have never entered a competition before so nerves are in abundance and frequent trips to the toilet are perfectly normal! The competition staff will give extra special support to our “babies” as we believe they are our future champions.”
The winner will be announced at the nail competition awards ceremony on Monday 12th October. Please refer to the general rules for full details.

“NEW FOR MANCHESTER 2009! “
“NEW 6+ ENTRY FEE DISCOUNTS!”
Professional Beauty gain many group entrants from salons, training schools and colleges, so to support this, a new discount rate has been devised. To receive the 6+ competitor rate, a minimum of 6 competitors (no maximum), must each complete an individual entry form and register from the same address at the same time with only one payment (i.e. one cheque). Please refer to the general rules for full details. So even though we are in a credit crunch, you can’t afford not to be a part of the competition craze!

“The theme is Music Legends”
The theme choice for the Photographic and Showcase Nail Art categories is “Music Legends” so let your imagine get creative and you will find you will be singing along to some very well known songs! After a number of requests from competitors to have music based theme, “Music Legends” was the perfect answer with such a large choice of famous faces and songs. Use the internet and books to find some great ideas; remember you will be awarded those much needed points for originality. You can base your theme around a legend (alive or dead) or choose one of their famous song titles but ensure you’re step by step and nail designs clearly show your idea. Bob Marley, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Abba, Tom Jones, Buddy Holly, Madonna, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, The Bee Gees, Neil Diamond and Cliff Richard to name just a few! So get singing and start those creative juices flowing!

Please visit Professional Beauty - Welcome for all of the category rules and regulations and floor judging rules. As the organisers are continually improving the nail competition, please note that some rules may have changed from previous competitions so ensure you take the time to read them, even if you have competed before. Now is the time to get your competition hat on, get your creative imagination flowing, find a good model, practice like mad and you could be walking away with a trophy or two!If you have any questions, please contact the competition registration/payment office. All completed entry forms must be faxed, sent by post or emailed. No entries will be taken by telephone. If you have any entry, payment enquiries, technical or judging enquiries, please contact the technical support line on London 0044 208 302 2020.
