I'm doing an add in my local paper for prom nights. I'm doing an offer nail tidy and spray tan for £20.00. I need to put a bit of editorial with it but I'm crap with this sort of thing anybody any suggestions?

That sounds like a good offer to me...I have tried tapping in to the prom season before with offers, didn't come to much, I sent flyers and letters out to local schools with information about NSS as many girls will go there for their prom nails.....quick and cheap.

Anyways from circumstances beyond my control, I tried to switch a couple of spray tan appointments around for tomorrow, but they couldn't as they were booked in at an NSS for nails after.....come to me for the spray.....obviously don't want to pay the additional £10 for a decent set of nails!

And also, the local rags and mags are very good at selling you a great package and concept and a lovely picture ad that you pay for at your cost...they are just trying to fill space, that's their job.

From my experience, and it's only my experience, I will only go for the free line entry in YP, I have had an expensive YP ad and Yell.com to date.

I will not go in the local paper or mags again at the prices they charge are for little or no gain....as I said they are just trying to fill their advertising space, they don't care about you or your business.

I am relying on my website and recommendation from here on in. It's not even optimised yet and I have had very many calls from it.
