We only opened our salon this week and been asked if we can do some packages for proms.

I was wondering if you offered anything for proms and what sort of discount off your normall prices do you give.

We offer hair beauty and nails in our salon so could do any combination

Hi, we have been offering prom packages for a couple of years now as they are BIG business, and we get really busy with them. We offer hair (hair-up or luxury blow-dry and tonging) and make-up (including false lashes) packages for £50 - which is a saving of £20 each for the girls, as both these services are usually charged at £35. We also do the optional express manicure for the girls half price if they want that.
We used to do it at that price for groups of 3 or more, but now book girls in on their own, and they usually end up persuading their friends to have it done as well!
The only problem with proms, is they tend to only occur over 1 or 2 weeks - around the end of June, beginning of July- and it's fitting them all in which is the problem (especially if you are only 1 make-up artist in a big hair salon like myself!) - they always seem to start quite early in the evening.
We advertise at our local boutique dress shop, as that's the first port of call for the proms I find, and have sent flyers to schools and colleges.
