Hi everyone,

I've got myself an izettle card reader and wanted to know how you would record this on your accounts system as they take the fee off the transaction rather than sending a bill at the end of the month, so does this mean if i charge £10 for a service and only get £9.70 as the transaction fee has been taken off do I just record that I have earned £9.97 for that particular service or would I need to record £10 as income and then put 30p expenditure to izettle. I am using quickfile but also along side quick file I am doing a basic excel spreadsheet.

My income is very low anyway as I am doing this on top of a full time job currently. This is purely just for when customers cannot pay cash.

Thanks :)

You would record your full incoming and the deduction as an expense. So you earned £10 and paid out 30p in expenses. Otherwise you would have a false income x
