Hi all, I have a client that has one nail that’s had a gel overlay. She wants it removed and wants shellac on her natural nail. How do I remove it? I don’t use an e-file. Thanks

Depending on the thickness you could use an e file to take down bulk, but before you hit the natural nail I would switch to a finer hand file and remove the rest by hand. You insure that you won’t hit the nail too much that way.

Hi - I don’t use e-files. What’s the alternative?

Then you need to hand file it off. Just remember to go finer grit close to the nail plate and be gentle and you should be fine :)
