I am currently working as a mobile technician. I have undertaken other things such as makeup, facials etc. I would like to rent a room in a hairdresser or similar establishment. Can someone advise as to the costings of such a venture, whether it is a good idea or not. I have my own company name and dont want to work for anyone else.

You clearly have undergone some great training and now want to go for it on your own - good girl!
Cost for renting vary from town to city but this is the formulae for working it out. Work our your cost of products to start up. Set your prices and work out from the salon manager what the expected foot fall is - also discuss how the salon is marketed - then decide if you can work the rent into your overheads and come out with a profit margin that you can live with. One chair in a provincial town should not be more than £70 per week under the current climate!
Good luck xx

Thank you! That is not too bad. Will have to do some investigating.
