Hi there hope someone can help I am doin a charity night in a school they have just rang wanting risk assesments on my treatments the treatments I am doin are
Eyebrow wax
File and paint fingers and toes
Mini facial

As these are short treatments how do I do risk assesments on these

It's health and safety gone mad!!!

But ... Easy solution

Just write a few paragraphs of rubbish on each and jobs a gooden.

They only want something on paper for the lady to file. Get my point :)

If there was ever a phrase that irks me it's "it's health & safety gone mad" !!!

Because no... its not. It is the school complying with their own risk assessments and insurance requirements. If the worst were to happen, god forbid, a page full of 'rubbish' would not help you prove to your or their insurance company / the courts that you made reasonable efforts to avoid accidents.

As someone who collects risk assessments as part of their main job, i can't tell you how often i hear this kind of thing.

It's really not all that difficult, but can seem daunting. I'm on my phone now but my day job is h&s related. So if you want some advice pm me so I don't forget and I'll send you a template and some guidance tomorrow.
