Hi,

Im looking for a bit of advice. I have set my self a 2 year plan to set up my own salon, i currently still work full time at my office job.
Im currently qualified in all level 2 beauty therapy as well as, acrylic nails, gelish and mink eyelashes.

I'm hoping to branch out on my own next year, i currently have a decent client base earning anything between £150 - £300 per week (thursday and friday nights between 5 & 8pm)

I'm thinking about doing my level 3 in massage but im not sure if its something i need/want? is this relevant? i know most therapists are level 3 qualified, in my opinion i should only be level 3 qualified if i want to provide massage treatments ect..

Opinions? could someone possibly provide me with some advice from personal experience?

thanks in advance,
beth :)

Now I do have a feeling you need to be a Level 3 to have a salon, unless there is an employee that is Level 3 qualified there at all times. I read about it a long time ago so it may well have changed since then but you would be best off speaking with your local council because they can give you an idea of rates at the same time and you can ask about specific requirements.
