Hi all,

I have not yet started up this business and would like advice on if it's most sensible to start out renting a room in order to build a client-base and see how it goes? Roughly what would I be looking to pay to rent a room each week/month with bills all in, for example? I feel it would be best renting a room to start so I can keep outgoings as low as possible for the first couple of years.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

I'd start with renting a room to build client base. Room rental about £30 per day or £100-150 a week. This does vary depending on area.

It's tough building up clients so it's best to start by keeping outgoings as low as possible. Then you can move to a shop when you're ready to.

I normally try to find a room that'll let me do a percentage split to begin with to help me build up, then set price room rental at a later date. Not everyone will do this, but I always try to negotiate this as it's a massive help starting up xx
