UV builder gel colours and glitters?

hi, just purchased some uv builder gel colours and glitters, had a go of painting nail tips with them but cnt seem to get the colour to stick to the nail properly and it always looks really light and stupid, anyone use these and have any hints and tips on how to apply properly??

i have only just completed an acrylic nail course and we wasn't show nail art or out :/

Try buffing the shine off your nail tips. You do need to stir the color gels and glitters. Stirring them will ensure your colored gels are uniform and the glitters are completely saturated with the gel base.
