I wonder if anyone can shed any light on a nail problem I've had for years. On both my big toe nails I have white marks that can vary from lines across the nail to covering large areas of the nail (pic below shows how it is now and this is the worse it can get). I always wear nail polish to cover it and I have very strong nails, always have. The nail isn't thick and apart from the marks there is no other problem. I've always but it down to pressure on the nail from my shoes as it sometimes gets a bit better. Or maybe because I do always have polish on. Any ideas?
