I would like to run a scheme to encourage my clients to recommend their family and friends. I am thinking of giving both my clients, and the new one, an incentive.

Would love to hear your thoughts on tried and tested, successful and not so successful schemes.

I tend to do if you recommend someone they receive 10 off and then the existing Client gets 10 off next service.

The new client must have their service first though.

I had some cards printed, the existing client writes her name and number on it, they give it to their friend.
When the friend arrives with the card, they get a discount off their 1st visit. I then contact the friend and they get a free gift (don't like giving discounts away all the time) when they next book in.
