Broken nail under gel nails

I have gel nails and i broke my real nail under it. You cant see any damage on the gel nail, but my finger is throbbing and puss is coming out from under the nail, it's also very sensitive. what should I do? It would hurt way too much to remove the nail at this point but i'm worried that it might get infected or not heal properly.

If pus is coming out then it's already infected :-/ you need to have the gel removed to be able to assess the nail underneath. Any chance you can post a pic?
