Help! Lash clump

A colleague at work has asked me to remove her lashes as they were causing irritation. I have got the lashes off but there is a huge clump of glue I cannot get off, it is attached to the eyelid and the skin is open and sore. How can I get this off without irritating her eye even more?
The lashes were not applied by me and im appalled that the person who did do them has refused to help her.

Just seen this. Have you got it off? I would have recommended a very plain oil like organic coconut to help release. Or check out the ingredients of professional remover to see if it would irritate an open wound.
