I have a client who is a level 5 coloured hair and a natural level 5. (Has a very slight red tone going on I've not ding the previous colour)
She wants 55.65 balayage
I don't do a lot of vibrant reds I work alone at home and would like some advice.

I'm thinking of doing wella freelights with 12%
And then using colour touch 55.65

Some reassurance would be much appreciated thank you x

55/65 is very vibrant on pre lightner hair, the ends in this picture are 55/65.

If you want it like that then go for it you will be fine, just let her know it will fade quickly and will need to have a gloss every couple of weeks x

As long as you don't prelighten past a level 7 you should not get overly vibrant results. And I'd do freelights
