How to sculpt on colorpops?

I want to use my colorpops to show off stiletto designs etc but I really have no idea how to sculpt on them! Do you try to put a form on them? Do you cut off the very tip to get the "flat" end off?

Anyone done this?

i havent done this before but what i'd probably do is to file the colour pop into a suitable shape and then fit a form onto the end!
