I'm new, help with room percentages please

Hi
I was wondering if anyone could help as Im new to being a beautician. I have been luckily offered to work in a hairdressing salon and the salon owner said I can work there and she will take 40% and me 60%. My costs are quite high for some treatments such as waxing and spray tans so Im wondering how much is the norm?

Hi,

That doesn't sound too bad.

I run a salon and have girls pay me a percentage, mine slightly differ but I do 70/30, 30% to me and that's with the girls paying for their own stock.

Maybe ask for a trial period then go down to 30%? Depends if you are doing your own leaflets, cards and advertising too as all adds up. Xx
