Lash tint

I am newly qualified in lash Lift & Tint &
I used my mom today as my first Guinea pig.
The lift went fine but when I did the Tint I couldnt Tint the lower lashes because when she closed her eyes they were so short I couldn’t even see them & I was too scared to apply the Tint with her eyes open
How do you get around this am I being thick ?

Once i've removed the tint & shield, I gently 'brush/sweep' over the lower lashes....it works a treat!
