Afro stylist Michelle Thompson won the top gong at last night's Black Beauty / Sensationnel Awards.
At an awards ceremony at the Hilton Metropole in London, some of the country's finest hair stylists, distributors and influential media turned out to congratulate and support a growing and creative industry.
Thompson, who is a seasoned champion across various awards and senior educator at Francesco Group, took home the coveted trophy amongst a group of highly talented names including Craig Chapman, Varerie Wallace Sachel, Jamie Stevens, Vernon Francois and Shade Oloniyo.
Other categories on the night were: Weave Stylist of the Year, won by Lathaniel Chambers; Styling Team of the Year awarded to Junior Green Styling Team; and Newcomer of the Year which went to Alero May.
