Hello! I have just spent an hour reading through this thread.
I am moving out soon and since my gran had just gone into a home, I am going to use as many bits of her furniture as I can to paint! So excited!
I have a round pine dining table, just wondered if I can still clean it after? Like with it been a dining table I like to spray dettol on after eating, and polish it when I'm dusting. Can I still do this after using Annie Sloan?
Thanks
Xx

Yea just wax it

Just bought these two chairs for my home salon, now I just need to get my hands on some Annie Sloan paint. I have just read this whole thread and love looking at all your projects. Can see this becoming a bit of an obsession. I'm very excited!

Hi ladies, after a bit of advice I have painted my bed in two coats of old white and I was going to sand a few edges to give it the distressed look.
Is it better to do this before I wax? I have seen somewhere it says wax sand then wax again? X

Just started up cycling the furniture for my new salon. So much fun!!ImageUploadedBySalonGeek1414077096.622031.jpgImageUploadedBySalonGeek1414077107.678137.jpgImageUploadedBySalonGeek1414077128.884134.jpg

Hi, it's great seeing everyone else's projects! Here's my resprayed and reupholstered salon furniture for my new salon. I love that everything matches. My dad made the reception desk and I upholstered the front so it's a real family project! There's 2 of the chairs for my manicure area and the white floral chair is for a friend. I probably saved myself a fortune compared to salon furniture and I'm now slightly addicted

Not up-cycled or a project but I absolutely love my bed.

Just need the room to go with it now! That will be a project!

Picture doesn't even do it justice.

Morning guys. Starting on the shabby chic road...lol...
Any tips would be great.
Is Annie Sloan the best paint to use? Iv looked in B&q but they don't seem to have any and I kinda want now!

Do you all upholster your own chairs? Iv found some cheap chairs but it's around £120 each to be upholstered and can't really afford that ATM x
