Hi. Thank you for your reply.
Yes I used 2 coats of the rubber base to try and achieve that creamy look and although it worked it was just too thick for my client. I do have another polish that I use for french but it’s too sheer for this look. I will definetly have a look at the polishes you...
Hi everyone. I have a client who has beautiful long natural nails and would like a french manicure like the picture I’ve attached. I have tried to achieve this by using a sheer pink rubber base but you can still see a lot of the natural colour nail tip. I used 2 coats of the rubber base...
Thank you everyone for all your tips.
I don’t use acrylic powder but I may look into this. I did the nails yesterday, I used a sponge and I was quite pleased with result considering it was for my first attempt. I’ll post a picture, any feedback would be great. Thank you x
Oh thank you so much for the tip about sponges. I’ll definetly give those a try. I had a bit more success with a sponge last night so I’ve got my fingers crossed all will be fine for my client
Hi everyone. I need some help I have a client tomorrow wanting ombré gel polish nails and I just can’t seem to get it right. I’ve bought an ombré brush and I’ve tried it with a sponge but it doesn’t look right. The sponge isn’t a smooth look and the brush was just rubbish and keeps pulling the...
Thank you for your reply. I have watched a lot of you tube videos including the ones you have suggested but I don’t use acrylic so I just wanted to know if a builder gel was adequate enough. X
Thank you for your advise. I use a clear builder gel from magpie and the client is happy to be a guinea pig. I will of course advise the client on contacting me if she were to have any issues. Thank you again x
Hi everyone. I need some advise please! I have a client who would like a pedicure but she has a damaged nail on her big toe. Would I be able to use a builder gel to reconstruct a toe nail for her or would I need a specialist product. It doesn’t show any signs of infection, she damaged her toe...
These are my nails at the moment.
I am just starting out so any feedback good or bad would be great appreciated.
Thanks ladies
Also any tips on taking the best pictures?

This is a pic of my first attempt at a French manicure. I used taffeta and sheek White. Any...
Thank you for replying candy86. I did do a French pedicure on the gel course so I will definitely offer this service. I've been researching the Gelish structure gel so I will look into doing a course on that. I was thinking of getting some of the vitagel strength and recovery for clients who...
I thought I'd add some pics of my own nails, any feed back good or bad would be appreciated. Trying to upload more but it's not letting me at the mo. Will keep trying
