    Chair cost in nail salon

Hey! How much do people pay in rent? I’m currently working two days in a local friends salon and she’s charging me £35 if I work over 4 hours or £20 if I work under 4 hours. I think it’s a lot considering I have to supply all my own stock and if I have a large gap then a client I’m still...

    Gel Bottle prices for training

You can buy any brand even professional only brands on eBay, amazon or google shop. Nothing is exclusive anymore, personally if you know what your doing ie your trained in acrylic or gel then all you need to do is practice the new P&L ratio or how pliable the gel is, once you have that mastered...

The Gel Bottle gel polish or Ink London ilac gel polish?

I ordered the gel bottle the other day, it came two days later so I was pleased with the delivery service. The bottles are HUGE which profit wise is great! The product looked good quality but am yet to find time to try! The pigment of the colour I ordered is flawless and not clear it’s a solid...

    Self employed, help!

Personally I would speak to the owner, product cost for nails is minimal so she is making very good money from you! I would suggest buying your own stock and reversing the cost to 60/40 in your favour or even 70/30 if it’s not a central busy location. If she/he won’t compromise consider bumping...

Pricing with gel polish and acrylic

Goodness me you wouldn’t be able to get acrylics done in my area for less than £35 minimum and it’s lower cost of living here in Lincolnshire but you have to go with a happy medium, don’t go cheap cause you’ll get cheap clients that don’t like to pay for quality and don’t go to expensive or your...

    Acrylics are lifting

Don’t use a cuticle remover, they have oils and softening serums which WILL lift acrylic or gel if any residue is left. I recommend dry cuticle work, then alcohol to remove any dust then use a fluffy brush to remove any tiny bits you can’t see, even the smallest bit of dust can lift a nail. Hope...

    Can’t decide which nail polish

My own experience says if you buy cheap you buy twice or the customer does, they’ll come to you once then go elsewhere if there not satisfied. If your charging the same for Halo nails as someone using CND you may loose clientele as Halo is a cheaper less resilient product same as Kaeso, people...
