Hot Wax - can it remove all fine facial hair?

Your probably being too gentle when applying. Try using firmer pressure with the spatula against the hair growth and maybe leave a little longer than you were to remove it. With the lycon wax, the purple one shrinks around the hair so make sure its ready to be lifted away.x

    Should I ring?

Im sure he hasnt forgotten but if your worried you could call the day before and say you just wanted to confirm that its still going ahead. It doesnt look bad if you call, quite professional IMO. Good luck with your trial, hope you love it there!xxx

    Competition watching my every move

A salon down the road from me coppied everything I done, and I mean everything! Even down to the wording of special offers, using the same pics and everything! They closed down about a month ago. People that cant think for themselves dont last x

    Thinking of selling

If you google 'Sell my business' you should get a lot of websites that sell your business for you. However, a friend of mine went this way and they take 8 grand for themselves :( So you should try and find another way of getting the word around. I dont know how you would go about doing that...

    Metal wax spatulas?

Didn't think of that with the hairs eww! Anyway I will stick to not double dipping as I have gained so many client's from practicing this way! Has anyone ever thought of what if the client sweats and then your putting that back into the pot? Even if you cleanse the skin, they can still sweat...

    Metal wax spatulas?

I'd well believe it as there is so many salons here that do their own thing and don't follow any guidelines. Sure I'm in the industry 8 years and never once got asked to show my certs or anything to prove I was qualified. That's why you have to take it upon yourself to do the right thing so...

New business - how long before you could take a wage?

My accountant told me that most business owners don't get a stable wage until after 3 years as it takes that long to break even. Mind you that's 'stable', you can take what you can as you go along, some weeks are better than others! I take a wage usually right across the summer, then october and...

    Metal wax spatulas?

Kim that kind of makes sense but I've had a few client's phone and ask if we double dip before they even came in. Client's are getting so aware now days. Have a read of this link and see what you think. Bare in mind it Isn't a professional writing it but have a read of the comments under and...

    Metal wax spatulas?

Not to throw a spanner in the works but I don't think they are hygienic at all. I would never double dip a spatula weather it be for legs or face or whatever. Once a spatula touches someones skin it goes in the bin. Am just wondering how you could do this with a metal spatula? Not judging but...

    Spas and complaints

Yes I have found this also! I think it's because it's not as personal they feel like they can complain because you are just a number! Where as in a salon, you get to know them much better as you see them all the time. And I do think it's because the price their paying also, they feel they can...

    Dermalogica!

Well what annoys me is the big phamacy companies can sell the products at a lower rate. So clients could come to us, get a prescription and go down to road to a phamacy! And WE as therpaists know that you should go to a skin professional but clients dont. Theres so much information out there...
