According to a new poll, conducted by anti-dandruff shampoo brand head&shoulders, the hairstyle most revered by men is Elvis Presley’s infamous quiff and sideburns.

More than half of the 4,000 men polled agreed that the legendary singer sported the most iconic hairstyle of all time. Trailing this was David Beckham’s curtains and Pat Sharp’s mullet at 17% and 15% respectively.

But, when it comes to their own hair, men prefer to play it safe the findings revealed, with most opting for the ‘short back and sides’ option.

A supporting survey from head&shoulders found that the real head turner for 66% of women are men with crew cuts and found that only 1% of women find men with mullets appealing.
