According to a new study women spend £100,000 on cosmetics over a lifetime. The figures, announced by natural deodorant company Bionsen, breaks down to £40 a week or an eye-watering £2,000 a year.
The findings go deeper: research revealed 57% of women would rather break up with their boyfriend than go out without warpaint, while lipstick lovers were most ardent in Birmingham where two thirds of women surveyed said they would prefer makeup to a dinner date.
Furthermore, on average cosmetic bags are filled with £130 worth of products with most respondents carrying 16 essential items in their handbags wherever they go.
