Advertising advice

Can someone please help and give me some advice!!!! I have been in this business for almost a year and have decided to work from home. Apart from putting leaflets in doors of people in my area, yellow pages, thomson local any further suggestions for advertising and getting people through my front door would be much appreciated cos at the moment I feel like I've mad a big mistake or am I just impatient???

I am a little bit biased, as I have a vested interest, but have you also tried online advertising with Thomson Local?

This will enable you to appear on Google and across our partner network. For example, if anyone searches for hairdressers in Northampton, your name appears. Might be something worth trying? It doesn't matter if you have a website or not, you can still get yourself on Google!
