I am looking to restructure our salons current pay structure(commission%, price range within the tiers and back bar charges). Currently we have two locations who have different structures and I would like to normalize them. Each location operates on a level system for their commission tiers ranging from 44-49% in location A and 46-50% in location B. I was hoping for some input from different owners, if you would feel comfortable, on what your salons are doing for your pay structures for your service providers. What is the norm on commission tiers? What are you currently doing for back bar charges... $, % or no back bar at all? Thank you in advance!
