Hi ladies, just after some advice please.. I have been doing my mums nails for about 18 months.. She always has a hard gel overlay finished with a gel polish every 4 weeks.. she damaged the nail bed on one of her thumb nails years ago and the nail has never grown back properly since and has always been separated from the bed. She is due to have her nails redone on Tuesday and while cleaning today, broke her thumb nail and it's gone quite far down.. there's no open wound but I'm just not sure what to do with it? Would u still go ahead with the hard gel and try to build it back up? Many thanks in advance for ur help!

I would quite happily do a small repair in that nail, either with a small fibreglass wrap if not a tip as it will protect it from catching as it grows out, then continue with your normal enhancement over the top.
The only time to not fix is if there is any sign of bleeding i.e. Open wounds x
