Hi geeks,

I've began posting ads for nails at $10. I have 2 ladies coming next week. In my ad I have posted the same picture I posted in critiques so they know what to expect.

I feel ready to start working on people but I am still nervous they won't be happy but they know Im new so hopefully they won't be too demanding.

Judging by my picture in the critique do you geeks think I'm charging too much or not enough???

Any advice/suggestions for me? This will be my first paying customers. Im confident in my work but still nervous overall.

Any advice would be great:hug:

If you think you are ready then you are ready. No one can tell you you are ready just by looking at a few photos. We can't know how long you took to them ... we can't know how difficult or easy they were to do. You will get all kinds of nails to enhance and they won't all be the same.

Only know if you are confident enough to start your business ....In my opinion you should dive in and do it but 10.00 is WAY too low a price to be charging and such a low price will only come back to haunt you later when you want to put it up. If you are as confident AS YOU SAY YOU ARE, then you should be charging much more. IMHO

Hi, I've looked at your critique pic and as Geeg says we can't tell you whether or not you're ready, all I can say is I would be prepared to pay full price for nails like that (if the side walls were brought in slightly as already mentioned)

I am here too a lil scared to start on clients but I tell you what I would not charge less than 20.00 do your best and treat them well, and they will probably come back. :)

Thanks for the advice geeks:hug:

I decided to honor the 3 ladies who called when the ad was a $10. I posted a new ad at $20 and have a few bookings already:)

I had 2 clients last night and the enhancements went swimmingly. I can honestly say I would have NEVER made it this far without Salon Geek:green:

Hopefully Ill get a good base clientel so I can rent a area in a salon or spa as I feel a little weird working out of my home.

Thanks again:hug:
