Saw a client today who suffers arthritis in her hands & fingers, the nail bed is shaped with a bump in & she has something just above her nail plate.
She said its been there for years & is sore to touch.

Been looking on the net this evening & thought it might be a Digital Myxoid Cyst, reading all the info it seems this is the case.

The client says even though it doesn't cause her issues, it is painful.

Anyone had a client with similar, what did you do ??

Advise her to see her doctor, you cannot diagnose this even if ur sure x

i agree with beauty_Sarah you need to advise her to go to the doctor.
it is not our call to diagnose anything .

I certainly wouldn't diagnose anything to the client, she doesn't seem irritated by it, but like any issue a client may have, I will tell her to go the Doctors if it causes her issues.

Looks like a Ganglion (?) google it x

They look very similar .... Will just send her to the Doctors.

doesn't matter that it dose'nt bother her ,could be a harmless cyst if the doctor thought it was even then they would possibly need a biopsy to rule out other issues.
it could be a wart , could be contra-indicated to the treatment .and even contagious to you and other clients . even if it dosent anoy her . if something dose not look normal the first thing you need to do is advise the doctor , if they say its ok to treat her then go for it .
it might seem awkward but in the best extrema you could possibly save a life , worst it could put there mind at rest if it proves to be nothing.

health of your self and your clients has to be a top priority :)
