Antibiotics and lifting

Can anyone tell me if antibiotics can cause lifting? i done my friends nails a while ago and she raved about how great they were, i done them again last wed and she says they are lifting this time, the only thing we can think is different is she is on oral antibiotics for her skin could this be the problem does anyone know?

I'm definitely on the side of 'yes they do' - a couple of my clients have long term problems which mean they are regularly on and off antibiotics and we can always see the difference in their nails almost immediately.
