Anyone have experience with the Beauty Academy or Carlton Institute?

Would any high street salon accept these one day courses to employ therapists. I understand they are enough to get insurance.

Most employers (in my experience) ask for nvq qualifications (that is to say that when training with the carlton institute, I did it with the view to getting nvq qualified because for what the course costs, I think it would be foolish not to do this!)

Whether or not the employer takes you would depend on how much practice you do outside of the course as this will be evident in a trade test.
