Are box colours safe to use?

Hi Geeks

I have very very long hair at the mo and i have bleach high lights but i am finding that my roots are starting to look a different colour to the length of my hair (i hope that makes sense) i have told my hair dresser but this never changes.... so i dont really want to go back but i cant find another salon that i would be happy to go to. Would you reccomend that i buy a blonde box colour to get an even look?

nope, sorry!

box colours *can* occasionally contain metallic salts which you definetly dont want on your hair!

also, it would be awfully hard to highlight your own hair? i cant even bleach my own roots, never mind highlight!


and then theres the probability that it will go orange and you will have to pay extra to have it fixed anyway

whats the difference between the roots and the ends of your hair just now?

it could be as simple as puting a toner on will even it out enough for you
