hi all could some one tell me the best way to achive this please

the way i was shown , a long time ago , i hav ent done it myself , was to place hair in high ponytail , place another band halfway down , backcomb the ends of the hair , lift up and pin flat just above band ,so band wont show ,tuck backcombing under into middle part and pin at bottom hiding second band , smooth over with backcombing brush and pull gently into shape with fingers .
