Hey Everyone!

Currently training in an aveda salon with no previous experience and was just wondering if anyone could help me covert a 5 or 6 Y/O to either koleston or colour touch? So used to mixing the base and tones myself!!

many thanks!!

Y/O stand for yellow orange?

/34 if so.

But different brands have tonality differences so it wont be the same as in a another brand.

Gc or GC= Gold, Copper, numericaly it would be a .34 or -34 Great thing is color is labeled universaly. The capital first letter represents the greater the pigment. Yellow=Gold, orange=copper. The secondary letter if lowercase means it has a lesser amount of the pigment in your case more gold +less copper. If it was labeled Cg there would be more copper to gold pigment. When both letters are capital like GC, this means there is equal parts gold to copper pigment. G becomes gold or green in lower levels for red control because it has th extra blue + gold to make it green & is usually paired up with Natural-ash shades or 0 & .1

Be careful with conversion pretty sure an aveda y/o is more like a premixed gold shade. Translate your pure tone strengths into the colour line you are using, e.g. for loreal a soft would be 6.03(natural gold) a pure would be 6.3 (gold) a strong would be a 6.33 (deep gold) and a intense formula would be a 6.30 (intense gold) but there will be diffences in tonality for sure.
