In a world of my own....
Hi

I have a client who cancelled her spray tan this morning due to very bad sunburn....

At what stage do we not spray tan a client who has sunburn? Can anyone give me the safe 'sunburn' levels that we can spray tan please i.e. is it ok if the skin is slightly pink??

Thanks:eek::hug:

Hi Janet,
I do like your questions you ask :hug:

Your customer was right to cancel her spray tan appointment if she was suffering from bad sunburn.

There is no specific chart that indicates when and when not to apply solution to skin that is UV tanned.

A spray tan applied on top of a UV tan which is not burnt is actually a very nice tan outcome look...they seem to compliment each other.

So tanned skin is a great canvas for you guy's to work on...a burned skin is absolutely not.

Never apply solution to any inflamed,broken or damaged skin (when the damage is still inflamed).

As a therapist you have the final call...you do need to turn away individuals if you believe it is not wise to apply solution as you will be the one with possible litigation issues to deal with.

So Janet...no fixed rules as this is simply impossible, but use common sense..if the skin is inflamed through to much UV exposure don't go anywhere near it for your and your customers sakes.

HTH :hug:
